I'd like to start off with saying I'm sorry I haven't been active the last few days. For some reason my camera/computer wont let me upload my photos, so I'm trying to sort that out. (Very frustrating).
I do however have plenty of content planned for you guys, including my 'Halloween' costume. a mini haul, two reviews and a FOTD post.
On a side note; I can officially say I no longer need to bother filling in my learners log book. Yup, that's right, I finally bit the bullet and went for my P's. AND I PASSED!
I promise I will be back soon with more fun and exciting posts soon!
What's been exciting/happening in your life recently?
Until next time...

I've never fully understood the whole aspect of a 'career'. I'm constantly surrounded by people who tell me 'it's just a job', 'it pays the bills' and 'go for a job that will earn you lots of money'. But your know what? It's not just a job. I currently work full time as a receptionist working 8:30am-5pm five days a week, that's the majority of my days taken. I also work casually on weekends doing photos- that can take between 2-10 hours (depending what is on that weekend) and at random and stupid times. Yes, it pays the bills, but any job you get will, right?
Here's my point. To make a career out of something you need to study for years and years, have experience and the money to spend on further training. People put themselves through dept, unpleasant university housing and two minute noodle dinners to gain the qualifications needed to obtain their chosen career. And 99% of the time, that person hates their job or they can't find a position in that field.
I don't want to be that person who studies to end up hating their job, getting a mediocre job with minimum wage and end up completely and utterly miserable.
Despite what people say, I believe I can and will make it one day. In what, who knows? I don't believe I should spend my life in a job I dislike and I will do anything and everything I can to follow a path that will make me happy. Whilst I don't know what I want to do as of yet- I'll leave you with a quote I totally agree with:
Remember: there is no harm in trying. Only YOU can make your future. Just because you can't today, doesn't mean you wont tomorrow.
Until next time...

I'm back once again with another 'wishlist' for you guys. Except this isn't really a list as much as it is a 'singular item'. But I saw it and fell in love and absolutely had to share it with you all.
I'm actually on the hunt for a hair curler, but I know I'll be in the market for a new straightener and dryer soon, so I thought I'd have a quick look around and see if I could find a cute set. I wasn't let down.

Behold the ghd rose gold deluxe set
Unfortunately, this set doesn't include a hair curler, but I could easily just pick one up from the same company, right?
However, this is a slight sting to the bank account at a cost of $370.
I love the gorgeous rose gold (one of my favorite colours) and black together and the sleek design. I've heard amazing things about ghd product and I'm considering biting the bullet and pressing the 'add to my cart' button I'm all to familiar with.
You can purchase and view more ghd products here.
What do you guys think, should I take the plunge?
Until next time...

First things first I'm a realist- and by realist I mean I'll admit my addiction to my social media.
I've been sitting here starring at the heading line atop my page trying to come up with a catchy, punny heading and honestly, I can't even think of something even slightly amusing or clever. Where to find me seems fitting enough, so lets just pretend I'm witty and I've come up with something better.
Moving on, today's post is exactly as the heading suggests- where you can find me on social media.

Its Motivational Moday again today!
I'll be quite honest with you, today has been a terrible day so far. In summery, I started the day off missing my wake up call for gym and ended up being late to work. While I was still pretty happy at that stage- a certain 'know it all' old lady filling in for someone who is away sick at work decided that she would have a go at me for doing my job. Yep- for literally doing my job (what!?). Anyway, after trying not to explode in rage (which it takes quite a lot to get me to that point) and listening to this lady yell and carry on, I was feeling pretty deflated and ready for a strong drink (and I'm not a heavy drinker).
Thank you to my very kind and caring work colleague who stepped in and told her she was being extremely rude.
Back to the point of Motivational Monday, I decided to base todays quote around my situation today.
While I'll admit, I'm still not happy with this lady or the situation, I am feeling a lot better. I know I'm a lot better than that and I have no reason to be upset when I hadn't done anything wrong.
My happiness is exactly that- MINE! And I refuse to let a silly old lady- or anyone- take that from me.
I hope you're having a better day than I am today.
What's your motivation?
Until next time...

Before and After |
I think this look can be switched up quite a bit to suit a number of occasions- my ideas included nude colours for an every day look, replacing the coral with a bright pink for a Cheshire cat 'Halloween' eye makeup or, keeping to the Halloween theme, replacing the colours with black and red to create a simple Harley Quinn look.
What look would you like to see me do?

Photo from website - my camera is currently being fixed :( |
A few months ago I went through a stage where I really wanted to switch up my skin care as the products I was using weren't working as well for my skin as they used to. Frustrated, I began doing a little research and that's when I came across The Body Shops tea tree oil range.
I found a few different blogs that talked about the products, and I couldn't really find much that was said bad about the range, so I went ahead and sourced out the products on their website. After a while of debating with myself, I decided to purchase the night cream and the little facial brush and the starter kit, just in case this product didn't go well on my skin so I didn't waste money on loads of product I wasn't going to use. And I'm glad I did.
I really liked the product at first- although the smell is really over powering and the toner stung a bit. I'll say this now- if you have sensitive skin, do not purchase. It can hurt quite a lot.
I got over the smell and stinging after a few days of use, which I was really happy about. I wanted to love this range so much. However, it just wasn't to be.
I read somewhere that this range is great for people with normal-oily skin and I thought this was perfect due to my skin being between normal and oily. Unfortunately I was wrong. After a few weeks my skin became extremely dry and flaky. I bought a new super hydrating moisturiser to try and counteract this problem, but unfortunately it just wouldn't work. I changed my routine to use it only a few times a week, but again it didn't work. Eventually I had to give up on trying new ways to use it and switch to a hydrating, sensitive routine to help recuperate my skin.To add insult to injury, due to my skin drying out so much, my skin produced extra oil which caused bad breakouts and now, almost two months after swapping routines, my skin is only just starting to return to normal.
I would recommend this product to people that have more oily skin and scaring/dark patches on their face. I did see a difference in my skin for a while and I do believe that it works- but only on oily skin. Please do not purchase this if you have quite sensitive skin like I do, I believe that it only made the matter worse. I do still use the tea tree oil spot oil as it isn't used all over my face and is only used in small amounts when needed, but I've had to say a parting farewell to the rest (much to my dismay).
What Body Shop product have you tried that you recommend? I'd love to try some more of their stuff.
I have a review on the brush coming soon!
Until next time...

Like thousands of others out there, I am not immune to the feelings of worthlessness and lack of motivation. There will be multiple times a day when I need to remind myself of all the good I have done and all the good I can do.I'm not perfect- and I don't believe that there is anyone out there that is. The fact is, everyone feels both negative and positive emotions. Its how we react to these emotions that makes or breaks us as individuals.
I've decided to put a little positivity in my Mondays (and hopefully yours) by starting a Motivation Monday series where I share with you a quote that has got me thinking positively either about a situation or the future. Personally, I find inspirational quotes get my mind thinking, my imagination going and my thoughts on a more positive track. So, in light of this new beginning, I'll leave you with this quote from CS Lewis.
What gets you motivated and inspires your positivity?
Until next time...

If you read my blog, you'd know that I absolutely love Lush products and recently I wrote a wishlist post all about the Lush products I was dying to try. Out of all the people I thought would read my blog, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that my step mum (hi Michelle) reads it too. Which, now that I think about it, isn't really much of a surprise. I guess I just was thinking more about the millions of random strangers that could read it and not how many of my family would.
Anyway, whether that made much sense or not, on one of her recent trips away- Michelle dropped in to pick me up one of the products on my wishlist- the Mask of Magnaminty. HOW NICE IS THAT!?
I've been wanting to try this product for so long so, without further ado, here is my review.
The mask comes in a black container with a screw-on lid and the mixture itself is a lumpy mud like texture in a bright green paste. To clarify- the pictures do not give the colour justice. It's like a mint green colour- but with the saturation turned all the way up... kind of. My favourite part? The scent. While I admit, the scent may be a little strong for some people at first, the fresh peppermint aroma reminds me of many trips to the Grampians and the ice creamery there. The ice cream there is to die for. If you don't really know what this scent is like- then imagine spearmint chewy x1000.
After putting the mixture on my face- I felt my face tingle quite a bit. Whether this is because of how bad my skin is or how strong the mask is I'm not 100% sure and, while it didn't bother me in the slightest, this may be something to be wary of if you have super sensitive skin. I left it on for 10 minuets as directed by the container and then washed it off with lukewarm water.
I can honestly say I felt a huge difference in my skin. Lately, my face has been feeling rather dull, dry and irritating. It's been dry and flaky and breaking out however, after just one use of this product, I have noticed my skin (and pimples) are a lot less irritated, my skin is smooth (for the most part) and my face feels refreshed. The Mask of Magnaminty is definitely going to be a staple in my skin care routine. I cannot thank Michelle enough for such an amazing gift!
This mask can last up to 3 months and is best stored in a fridge. You can purchase this item online here.
What skin care products do you love?
Until next time...
