Warning: This is a picture heavy post.
Recently Dragonberry boutique had a 50% off cosmetic sale and, of course, I had to jump on it to try out their lipstick range. Each lipstick is retailed at $10 each (I paid a total of $30 for these babies!)

Last payday I swore to myself that I wouldn't give in to the temptation of buying anything because a) I'm trying to save for a house and b) I had to pay off something super exciting this week. Somehow the little gremlins got into my back account though and got me a few little Lush goodies as a special little treat.

As many of my readers know- I've been struggling with a few painful pimples on my lip line for the last few weeks. In this time, I've tried everything I could get my hands on to make them go away. Tea tree oil, lemon juice, cream and ice, just to name a few.
Last week they started to split and scab (gross, I know, but it's a vital part of the story) and my face was in constant pain from it. That's when my boyfriends mother handed me this little red tube, and told me to apply it every time my lip/pimples started to feel too dry.
I'd like to introduce you all to my new best friend; Lucas' Papaw Ointment!
The ointment itself is an off white (kinda yellow tinged) goo, with pretty much no scent at all. It does feel a little bit tacky at first, but once you warm it up a little bit with your fingers, it melts down and feels pretty much like lip gloss does. It isn't sticky at all, and is moisturizing and nourishing on the lips. The back reads 'A local tropical application for boils, burns, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, gravel rash, splinters, open wounds, insect bites and nappy rash.' And I honestly believe it can be used on so much more than just that.
This product has not only repaired my super dry and chapped lips, but it has shrunk my pimples by a considerable amount. I honestly believe that without this product, my lips would still be painful and scabby.
It got rid of my scab, and helped heal the wound quickly. Not only that, but it kept the pimple hydrated enough that it didn't split every time I ate, but didn't irritate it or cause it to flare up. I don't think it would work as well if my skin wasn't split- but I'm extremely happy with the results.
The best thing about it though is you only need a tiny amount for it to work. I'm not 100% sure what the actual cost is, but I think it is around $5 a tube. That being said, even if this product was $50, I'd recommend it to anyone. This is a must have in any bathroom, bag and first aid kit.
Until next time...

I'm going to admit that I have never tried any MAC product before. I've heard so many good things about them however, and I've had so many recommendations to try their lipsticks. I decided to check out their online store (which you can find here) and see what lipsticks I would try first. Here are my picks:
What colours would you recommend from MAC?

Hello all!
One of my favorite things to read/watch are people haul blogs and videos and, since I've never done one, I though I might have a crack at doing one.
These are a collection of things I've bought over the last month or so- I'll try to remember the cost of each one for you. I'll also be doing reviews on some of things products at a later date. Enjoy!
I'll start out with lip sticks/butters. I don't know why, but I've had the biggest obsession with getting and collecting lipsticks and butters. I got both the Color Whisper lip butters by Maybelline for $8 on the sale table at K-Mart in the shades Orange Attitude and Oh La Lilac. Also from K-Mart, I got three Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipsticks in Candy, Sugar Plum and Coffee Shimmer. I'm not sure why I got the coffee shimmer shade.. but none the less, it's one to add to the collection. Each of these were around $10. Lastly, I ordered two of the Lime Crime lipsticks in Geradium and Centrifuchsia online from Showpo for $23 each. I cannot wait to review these for you guys!
Next I got the Rimmel London Wake Me Up concealer in Ivory. I've heard good and bad things about this product, but so far I've been liking it.
Adding to my already excessive collection of Rimmel London products, I also picked up the lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in 120 Pink Rose. Again, not sure why but I just wanted it. I also got the Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm in anti-oxidant berry because my lips are always dry. This has the most amazing scent I've ever experienced.
Moving on to jewelry, I must say this doesn't happen very often. I'm not the biggest fan of wearing jewelry, but this opalish (not sure what its called) and Aztec style necklace caught my eye in Glammazon Accessories and I fell in love instantly. The ring was around $13 and the necklace was around $20.
I'm going to skin over the oil for now- as I'll be addressing it in a not too distant post- and move onto the nail polish. I rarely wear polish as I have short, yucky nails and a tendency to peel it all off anyway, but I saw these in K-mart and liked the colours. The first one I got was from Sinful Colours in the shade Hazard (952) for around $4, and the second was the Rimmel London 60 seconds in the shade 873 Breakfast in Bed.
I was given this candle by my mum, but I wanted to add this in as I thought it had such a beautiful festival scent and I adore my candles. The candle is made by Madison & French in the scent Apple Cinnamon. Yum!!
Lastly I got the Killer Queen perfume by Katy Perry. I'm not sure why seeing as I rarely wear perfume- but it's a product to start a collection off.
That is all I have to show you for now; I hope you enjoyed reading this post.
What have you recently bought that you are loving?
Until next time...
