Following the stress of finding a house, packing and all the added extras when it comes to getting a new job, I've found myself reaching out to face masks to give my skin (and self) a little pick me up. One of the ones I've found myself reaching for is the Ayesha Fresh Face Mask from Lush.

I have had a secret (not so secret) love affair with pinterest for the longest time. And lets be honest, who doesn't? With thousands of amazing ideas, tutorials, inspirational photos and delicious recipes, it's hard NOT to find something to fall in love with.
With my current obsession and my love for all things pretty, I have decided to start a series- 'My Pinterest Obsession'- to show you all the pretty things that I've found wasting time on the web.

As many of my readers know- I've been struggling with a few painful pimples on my lip line for the last few weeks. In this time, I've tried everything I could get my hands on to make them go away. Tea tree oil, lemon juice, cream and ice, just to name a few.
Last week they started to split and scab (gross, I know, but it's a vital part of the story) and my face was in constant pain from it. That's when my boyfriends mother handed me this little red tube, and told me to apply it every time my lip/pimples started to feel too dry.
I'd like to introduce you all to my new best friend; Lucas' Papaw Ointment!
The ointment itself is an off white (kinda yellow tinged) goo, with pretty much no scent at all. It does feel a little bit tacky at first, but once you warm it up a little bit with your fingers, it melts down and feels pretty much like lip gloss does. It isn't sticky at all, and is moisturizing and nourishing on the lips. The back reads 'A local tropical application for boils, burns, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, gravel rash, splinters, open wounds, insect bites and nappy rash.' And I honestly believe it can be used on so much more than just that.
This product has not only repaired my super dry and chapped lips, but it has shrunk my pimples by a considerable amount. I honestly believe that without this product, my lips would still be painful and scabby.
It got rid of my scab, and helped heal the wound quickly. Not only that, but it kept the pimple hydrated enough that it didn't split every time I ate, but didn't irritate it or cause it to flare up. I don't think it would work as well if my skin wasn't split- but I'm extremely happy with the results.
The best thing about it though is you only need a tiny amount for it to work. I'm not 100% sure what the actual cost is, but I think it is around $5 a tube. That being said, even if this product was $50, I'd recommend it to anyone. This is a must have in any bathroom, bag and first aid kit.
Until next time...

This post is massively belated- but I still thought it would be a little bit of fun to do so I'm going to do it any way. Also, I thought it would be a nice post to do whilst I get all my blog posts and photos in order. I tag everyone to do
this tag, if you haven't already.
Which state do you live in?
Victoria
What states have you visited around Australia?
NSW, QLD, SA and Victoria
What do you order at Boost Juice?
Believe it or not, I've never had (or seen?) Boost Juice.
Choose one...
Supre or Valleygirl or Cotton On
Cotton On
Sportsgirl or Dotti
Dotti... Maybe. I've never shopped at either but Dotti looks nice.
Who is your favorite Australian actor/actress?
I don't follow Actors or Actresses so.. I'm not sure who is Aussie and who isn't to be honest.
Describe your formal night in high school.
Here, we call it the debutante ball and, much to my dismay, I actually didn't participate in mine. At the time I was moving around and completely missed it. The night it was on, I was probably at home, in my pjs eating two minute noodles and scrolling through facebook. Awh.
Do you like vegemite? Or how do you eat it?
I love vegimite, but only in moderation. I eat it with melted butter on toast or on vita wheats.
Have you ever seen or petted a kangaroo?
I have seen and petted many kangaroo- my most recent encounter was in Halls Gap, Victoria.
Have you ever seen the Sydney Harbor Bridge?
Maybe when I was little, but I don't remember it so I'm going to say no.
Do you say...
Mate? Yes
G'day? Not much, but on the odd occasion if I'm talking to a neighbor.
Flipflops (THONGS!) or wedges? Thongs
Jumper or sweater? Jumper
Overall, what do you think of Australia?
I love Australia. It's my home country, we make awesome BBQ's and have some gorgeous attractions. My only issue is its always relatively cold where I live- I'd much rather be in Queensland!
Until next time...

I'm sorry I haven't been posting as much as I've wanted to- I've been a little tied up with work and trying to fit a gym schedule in amongst my already hectic day. But, with that apology aside, I wanted to do a quick post today to welcome my new followers.
Whilst I know I haven't been blogging for long, and my followers aren't many, each and every follower and comment means the world to me. You wouldn't believe the excitement when I see a new follower, a reply or new comment. Each and every one is greatly appreciated and it's nice to know that my input is also appreciated by others.
Whilst I haven't posted a lot- I do have quite a few things planned to come out soon. Most of what is planned is based around lip products and, since I have a huge pimple on the edge of my lip, I wont be posting them until it goes down (at least) a little bit more.
I apologize for my lack of posts, but greatly appreciate your love and understanding.
Many thanks and until next time...

Hello all!
Lets be honest- choosing to partake in the August Photo Challenge was a silly mistake on my part. Why? Because between working full time five days a week, part time on alternating weekends and trying to keep up with my course work- finding the time (and energy) to take, edit and upload a photo (not to mention writing a short piece to go with it) was a difficult task, to say the least. I had pretty much set myself up to fail, and I did after a mere five days. Pretty pathetic, right?
Wrong.
Those five days taught me a lot about myself, my limitations and my aspirations. Sometimes being too keen can actually do more harm than good. I found myself stressing over it, telling myself I HAD to upload something, which was just making my work look and feel shabby and I never really achieved that feeling of success or pride over what I had done. I felt limited in what I could say and do and overall, I really just didn't want to be creative.
In short, those five days made me realise I dont want to partake in challenges or just show off what little skills I have- I want to upload content that interests me WHEN it interests me. Post can, and will, range from general thoughts, beauty, fashion, products, photography, plans and aspirations. I want to inspire others, but I can't do that if I can't inspire myself.
I'm planning to start out by posting once a week on either a Friday or Saturday (the two days I will most likely be free to write/post)- with the occasional post during the week. I would LOVE to hear what you guys would like to see me post and am willing to accept ideas, CC and links/suggestions to any bloggers, vloggers or general inspirational persons or posts (whether yours or someone else's) you would like to share.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read my blog posts- and I look forward to seeing you next time.
