There are many things in everyone's life that shapes who they are as a person. Experiences and circumstances mold the way we think and view our world and the world around us. Our choices, views and values all stem from things that have happened in our life and around us, whether we are conscious of them or not. For many people though, there is always one or two experiences that stand out above the rest. An experience 'to remember' that actively has influenced their life, for better or for worse.
Luckily the experience that changed my life changed it for the better.

As a disclaimer before I get into this post, I was sent this Hair Rejuvenation Treatment from Hair&Me for reviewing purposes. I am not getting paid for reviewing this product and all opinions are that of my own. I hope you enjoy my review and that it helps at least one of you when making the all important decisions when caring for your hair.

I discovered a few things whilst doing this creative look. One is that I have an unbelievable and uncontrollable shake and the other is that I should probably use some sort of reference when I try to create a 'character' based look. Whilst I didn't have a specific character in mind, I wanted to create a comic book character look.

I've been feeling so uninspired recently and every post I've written I've found some reason to end up hating it. I wanted to break my 'dry spell' though and so I thought I'd share 10 of my recently watched YouTube videos that I found either helpful or that I simply really liked. Enjoy the links!

Let it be known that almost every beauty junkie and their best friend has either seen, heard, tested or reviewed this product. A while back this was all that came up on my feed and now I'm jumping on the late band wagon to share with you my thoughts on this product.

It's been a while since I did a tag post and I've had this one sitting in my inventory of post ideas for a while now so I thought it might be fun to do. Tonight I'll be knuckling down and taking photos for blog posts and scheduling them- but until then I hope you forgive me for my 'laziness' and enjoy this post.

To many of us, make up is just another part of every day life. We make time in our days to apply and remove it, plan ahead as to what look we want to achieve, match it to our outfits and spend more money on it then we probably should. It has the ability to make us feel comfortable and confident, to look the way we want to look, to express our creativity and ability. That being said, not wearing make up has it's perks too. Here's 7 reasons why you should consider a week without makeup.

I wish I was one of those brave people who could rock bright red or berry lipstick everyday but as it turns out, I'm not as bold and brave in my every day life as some others are. And whilst I do tend to lean towards a nude lip for everyday life, I do prefer a pop of colour of my lips, even if it isn't as bold and beautiful as a classic red lippy. My solution? Here's my go to lip combination for a 'bold nude' lip. |

Recently I found a blog post by Nothin' Fancy Really entitled 50 Spring Post Ideas for Beauty Bloggers which, as the title says, gives beauty bloggers amazing post ideas for the Spring season. Unfortunately at this time of year Australia is absolutely freezing, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to come up with some Winter blog post ideas for beauty and lifestyle bloggers.

Ever since australis came out with the Velourlips lip creams I have been all about that matte. I have done a review here on the Hon-O-Loo-Loo lip cream, however I don't think I gave this product enough credit. So, without further ado, here is my updated review on the australis Velourlips lip creams- with swatches of Hon-O-Loo-Loo, Ho-Chee-Min, Mi-A-Mee & Doo-Bai.

Following the stress of finding a house, packing and all the added extras when it comes to getting a new job, I've found myself reaching out to face masks to give my skin (and self) a little pick me up. One of the ones I've found myself reaching for is the Ayesha Fresh Face Mask from Lush.

I have had a secret (not so secret) love affair with pinterest for the longest time. And lets be honest, who doesn't? With thousands of amazing ideas, tutorials, inspirational photos and delicious recipes, it's hard NOT to find something to fall in love with.
With my current obsession and my love for all things pretty, I have decided to start a series- 'My Pinterest Obsession'- to show you all the pretty things that I've found wasting time on the web.

Life is hectic. I have been completely and utterly run off my feet and
haven't had a lot of time to sit down and blog, so I thought I'd let you
all know why.
Over the last month or two I have been applying for jobs left right and center. I was called for an interview two weeks ago and, following that, was greeted a week later for a 'meet and greet'. This proved very successful and I got the satisfying news on Monday that I have landed the job. Yay me! :D
I handed in my resignation letter to my current employer, with my final day to be February 13, 2015. While I am extremely proud and excited for my new position, I also feel a little sad as I will be waving goodbye to some great people that I've grown to know extremely well over the last two years.
My new job also means moving, not only house, but town. It's only around an hour away, but still a move is a move. We are currently house hunting, so I'll be sending my partner Chris to go inspect some so we have a house to shift into once my current job ends. I'll have two weeks to move before my next job starts, so we'll be house hunting and (hopefully) moving over that time.
I've decided that 2015 is going to be my year. After my move I'll be blogging more, developing myself as a person and setting and achieving goals to the best of my abilities. I believe this year is my year to shine, to blossom as a person and as a valuable asset to my work, family, friends and the wider community.
I can't wait to bring you along on my journey, to share with you my life and to learn a little about yours as well.
Hopefully I will be posting more very soon!
Until then...
xx

I suggest taking the time to check out Livs blog, you can read her answers to this tag here.
